Summit Mission

To kindle on-the-job inspiration and renewal in the helping professions.

What is the Deep practices summit?

Live your life. Love your work.

Our goal is to give you a unique, life-changing experience that connects you back to your calling, rekindles your inspiration, and gives you practical tools and resources for infusing passion in your work.

Part conference, part retreat, our summit will expose you to new ideas and practices while also giving you the space and time to integrate all that you learn. We’ve reserved all 365 acres of the beautiful La Foret Retreat Center to give you the space you need to explore, unwind, and reconnect.

We have a dynamite lineup of brilliant speakers, sessions, and workshops that will spark changes in the way you approach your work.

We also know that your whole self needs to be nurtured for real change to occur. That’s why we offer yoga, guided meditations, group hikes, unconferences, delicious, wholesome food and snacks, sound healing ceremonies, and intentional integration workshops so you can bring it all back with you.

Why this summit?

serving those who serve others

We enter helping professions for reasons of the heart, but too often the heart becomes an afterthought and not a priority in our jobs.

This is why burnout rates are astronomical in the helping professions we rely on to heal, nurture and educate our society.

Despite this, no large-scale movement exists to combat burnout at both individual and systemic levels. We’re here to change that.

Who is it for?

You!

This summit is for any person or organization seeking practical tools and ideas to rekindle their inspiration at work. We have speakers, presenters, and workshop offerings from a wide variety of industries including: education, healthcare, higher ed, non-profits, alternative medicine, the ministry, public defense, and more!

Whether you’re interested in individual growth or team and organizational transformation, we have what you’re looking for.

We of course welcome all people who are interested in staying inspired at work, so if you’re not “technically” in a helping profession but would like to be involved please join us!

The vibe

Come as you are

Our goal is to create a casual, caring, and communal atmosphere for for you to unwind and be your most authentic self. We’ve reserved the entire 365 acres of La Foret’s trails and woods for your enjoyment. Bring yoga clothes and hiking boots for the group hikes, yoga classes, meditations, and workshops, and bring lots of layers for the outdoor fire pit. Dress comfortably, relax, and let your true self shine through!

Deep practices are choices or actions that originate from the heart.
